They weren`t strung up and stoned to death for crimes against cinema?

    What more do they want?

They should be made to pay therapy costs for every film fan whose faith in film was near destroyed by the hype surrounding their sub-home movie ex-crap-aganza.

If I ever make a film that is 1% as popular as the Blair Witch Project and am never heard of again I'll be happy.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">It's experimental film. Been around since the camera was invented. Will be here til the end. Theirs just happened to find it's way into the mainstream.

It was something different. It's not someting to feel threatened by. Did I think it was a great film - no. But interesting and innovative.

I would charge Lucas, Spielberg, Coppola, and Scorsese with "cinema crimes" before these guys.

Was the PR hype due to them or their distributor?

    Therapy for faith in film?
Well, I can't speak for others, but my faith in film relies on me, not other people.

I thought Blair Whitch was great... I wish I thought of the idea.. I really liked its form (yes I know someone has done it before, but this film really opned my eyes for it)

Its well acted, creepy and atmospheric...
